PASSPORT BACK TO THE BARS |
 |
In March of 2004, twenty two of the UK's greatest artists played at the 5 Barfly venues across the UK. These artists included David Gray, The Darkness, Travis, The Cure, Pet Shop Boys, Ash, Starsailor, Elbow, Badly Drawn Boy, Supergrass, Super Furry Animal plus many more |
| Barking Spiders was approached at the end of 2003 to manage the delivery of this extremely public event, which included liasion with all artists and management, co-ordination of every gig, setting up and maintaining E-bay online ticket sales, setting up and running the mobile phone based lottery system (an identical system was used for Live8) and making sure everything ran smoothly on the night. |
GREAT ESCAPE PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT |
 |
The Barfly Great Escape will have it's inaugural year in 2006 as the UKs premier music industry conference and showcase. Complimenting the quality of the speakers & artists appearing at the event, Barking Spiders has been commisioned to manage the event from a Production point of view. |
As with any music conference of this type, the amount of organisation required to ensure everything goes smoothly is considerable, and far too much to list here. Starting in 2006, Barking Spiders goes into full operational mode to deliver this event to the public. |
BLUEPRINT - Music Consultancy |
 |
Blueprint is a specialist media services company developing unique distribution and digital rights management based systems. They are setting out to change the way the music industry does business by creating a ‘digital content excahange’. The perfect friends for Barking Spiders |
Barking Spiders is currently working with Bluesprint to totally revolutionise the way that music is delivered to the market. The new download model adopted by most companies does not truly embrace the advantages of new technology. We intend to change this. |
CHANNELFLY OFFICE REFURBISHMENT AND OFFICE MOVE |
 |
In 2004 Channelfy signed a lease for new premises in Farringdon and decieded to move from the old Creation Records building in Primrose Hill. However the new 5 storey office buidling that they were moving to resembled a 70s clothing factory that had not been maintained since its construction. |
Barking Spiders was commissioned to refurbish the 5 storey building to an incredibly strict budget, then move the entire office into the building over a weekend. The picture above is the plaque that resides on the outside of the building, giving you a clear indication of the age of the building (and not a metaphor for how we all felt at the end of the project) |
|
Barking Spiders has over 8 years experience in Project Management, ranging from the construction management, event management and web development. During this time, we have developed and simplified the process of delivering projects, since regardless of what the project is, or what industry it is in, the same information is required by the client:
WHAT DO I GET
WHEN DO I GET IT
HOW MUCH WILL IT COST
Barking Spiders can create a brief that explains in detail all of the above and can then monitor your project, providing instant information to allow management to make informed decisions regarding their expenditure... and more importantly - CONTROL IT.
